Can foil crisp packets be recycled?
Crisp packets need to go into your rubbish bin as they can’t be recycled. Although the inside of the packet is shiny and looks like foil, it’s actually metallised plastic film, which can’t be recycled from home yet.

What can you do?
- Look for your nearest Terracycle collection point for crisp packets.
- Put a box or bag in your kitchen so that you can collect your used packets and aren’t tempted to chuck them in the bin.
